Coral Strand Beach County Galway
My style of travel has always allowed me the freedom to change plans or try things on the spur of the moment. Because of this, I was able to take a suggestion and go see the Coral Strand in Connemara, County Galway.

Just under an hour away from Galway City if you know where you’re going, this beautiful beach is a spot for jellyfish washing ashore and stones that look like small pieces of coral.
Known as a spot for swimming and snorkeling, the day’s weather was such that only the die-hards would brave the water. Sure enough, we watched a couple snorkeling just off the beach through the field of jellyfish.
As my guide-turned-friend and I made our way back toward Galway, we saw a couple hitchhiking to the next town. We offered them a ride and enjoyed an engaging and reciprocal conversation between four people of different backgrounds. I smiled deeply as we dropped them off and drove the rest of the way back to Galway, for this was something I had always dreamed of; connecting with others from all walks of life.
